Dr. Koola is a psychiatrist at CounterPoint Health Services who is board-certified in psychiatry and neurology. Dr. Koola attended medical school at Assam Medical College in India. He completed psychiatry residency training at the University of New Mexico. He completed a research fellowship in schizophrenia at the Maryland Psychiatric Research Center, University of Maryland. He has published 90 papers. He worked in geriatric psychiatry at Emory University 2004-05. He has considerable experience working with elderly population in nursing homes, independent living and assisted living facilities. He is a member of the International Society for Tryptophan Research, and the Society of Biological Psychiatry. Additionally, Dr. Koola is a lifetime member of the Indo-American Psychiatry Association.
